We help event organizers solve their biggest challenges. Not by talking, but by doing. We bring together key players and actively co-develop, test and implement solutions, using the latest technologies and innovations from within and outside the event industry.

But how?

For every challenge, Open-House forms effective consortia of market parties, suppliers, startups and knowledge institutes. As co-innovator, we specialize in launching and coordinating projects that yield actual solutions for major industry challenges. We join forces with established suppliers, recruit and guide startups, or create our own solutions if we have to. The challenges and needs of the event industry are always central to our efforts.

Take crowd management for example. How can we ensure safety and optimize visitor experience? Organizers have difficulty simulating crowd movements and converting insights into innovation, so we launched our INCROWD project. A coalition of specialists, industry leaders and government bodies is now working on applied research to co-create solutions in fields like real-time crowd monitoring and simulating crowd dynamics.

4 steps of Open-House co-innovation

Our projects can be broken down into four main development phases:

Identifying challenges

Based on the industry's needs, we determine critical focus areas that require innovation and are suitable for testing on festival grounds.

Securing consortium

We establish a consortium of (international) key players, put roles and conditions in writing, and secure funding for the next phase.

Developing prototype

The third step is all about developing solutions and business models, conducting pilot projects and improving prototypes.

Launching to market

Finally, we launch our co-developed innovations onto the market and focus on scaling for international implementation.
